Last year (around August 2010)I purchased Opalescence through my dentist for at home whitening (along with custom made trays from my dentist). I was instructed to fill the tray before bed and wear it 8 - 10 hours each night (while asleep). Results were great, but took about 8 - 10 weeks to achieve. The first 4 weeks was using Opalescence PF 10% Melon Flavor (which was not strong enough) and showed very little improvement in whiteness.
The next 4 - 6 weeks I switched to Opalescence PF 20% Melon Flavor, and I began to see improvement after about 2 weeks. In the end, I was very pleased with the results and over the next few months I got several compliments on how white or pretty my teeth were (which has never happened in my life!)
I stopped using the product in about November 2010 and by about May/June 2011, I needed a touch up, so results lasted about 6 months. I decided to go through Amazon to save money & went up to the 35% strength as I have a special event coming up this month and didn't have 8 weeks or longer to prepare. With the 35%, you only use the product for 30 minutes during the day, NOT overnight. I have used the product 2x daily since receiving it (in anticipation of this upcoming event) and after 6 uses have had VERY good results. I have not experienced any tooth sensitivity using the product, but did get it too high on the tray once and my gums started stinging and turned white in that spot. I took the tray out and the spot and sensitivity were gone the next day.
All in all, this is the best product I've used (much faster than the white strips or anything you can buy OTC). I have nothing but good things to say! I will continue to use this product!

I have used the syringes for a week now. I can definitely see a difference in the color of my teeth. Crest strips just really don't work for me. I don't like using trays though. They're messy and bulky. I didn't add a whole syringe of the product to the tray. It isn't necessary. If you only use enough of the product to cover your teeth, and not gums, you will probably experience little sensivity. I experience no sensivity, but my gums are very strong.

I used to work in a dentist office and we charged a ton more for these to our patients. We all knew that Opalescence did the best job of whitening your teeth over any other brand even though we sold several other brands, but as staff, we used Opalescence!!

Causes temporary sensitivity...
They WORK...but causes sensitivity if you use them often. I recommend using them every two or three days or going with PF 25%.

Great product... Excessive Shipping Costs
