I am the Artistic Advisor and one of the Founding Directors, and current music directors of the Colorado Springs Children's Chorale. I have had the opportunity to hear, and share several concerts with the unbelievable Chicago Children's Choir and their amazing Directors and Accompanists in Japan, Des Moines, and Chicago. Josephine Lee's direction of "I Need You to Survive", a gospel piece written in commemoration of 9-11, is masterful. I recommend this heartfelt album, giving it and the Chicago Children's Choir my highest praise. Congratulations to the Chicago Children's Choir on their 50th Anniversary!

This CD is amazing. I am in a local county children's choir and we have been lucky enough to meet a few of the Chicago Children's Neiborhood Choirs. On one of our tours, we actually got to observe a rehersal of the Chicago Children's Concert Choir. They inspired me so much with their beautiful music, and I still can't beleive that kids that are around my age can produce such a great sound with their voices. They are litterally one of the best choirs in the world, and I can completely see why. I bought this CD because I just couldn't get enough of their music.

Open Up Your Heart is a true classic. I bought it after hearing the Choir on Fox News in the Morning and just love it. It is a must have and makes a great gift!

The Chicago Children's Choir, now almost 50 years in existence, has never sounded like this. It simply has to be the most incredible children's choir in the world. This CD is so representative of the ethos of the choir in its choice of songs from around the world; some protest, some pastoral and some popular. The artistry is stunning. These young people are so talented and yet such a performing unit. They have obviously been trained by a very gifted director who knows how to get these talented young people to work together and individually to create such wonderful music. This CD, their first in studio production, truly does open up the heart and makes it sing!

This album is a prime example of the amazing abilities that children have. The CD has a wide variety of amazing music and is just overall great to listen to! It is entertaining for everyone! It is a great form of entertainment!

I was fortunate to see the choir's holiday concert in December where I purchased the CD. All of the songs are truly uplifting--absolutely superb. There's no need to hesitate--this is a must have.

When I first heard this CD I was absolutely incredulous that the singing came from children. The sound they produce is overwhelming. I own over 200 choral CDs, and maybe 50 feature children or youth choirs. Hardly any match the profound and exciting lyricism of this CD. Even if you're not a choral music fan, you must hear this collection. If you are not moved by its enthusiasm and joyful exuberance, check your pulse. "Open Up Your Heart" is a classic. The best collection of World music I've ever heard.

What's extraordiniary about this CD is not just the breadth of music -- from South African to Classical to Inspirational -- but the fact that these are the voices of children. I liked this so much that I purchased copies for my family. My dad, not usually a fan of choral music, called to say he can't stop playing it. This one's addictive. I'd tell you my favorite song, but it differs from day to day. Lovely stuff. I can't say enough about this one.

One of the best collections of music I have ever owned! The beautiful voices of the Chicago Children's Choir filled my home, my office and my car with amazing energy. I was transported from country to country to country as each track played.. Simply unbelieveable! Thank you for this little treasure!
