Classic 3rd Wave Trad Ska,

This is by far my favorite Stubborn All Stars album and I even like it more than the work from Skinnerbox. A well rounded album from top to bottom. They dont make em like this anymore.

NYC SKA IS GREATEST.,

Cannot believe that there has passed almost a decade since the release of "Open Season," and it is still at par with any Ska production of 2006. This CD is simply brilliant. Among all steller tracks, my favorite is "Lieutenant." This song itself worths checking this cd out, it has every vibe that NYC ska offers, from the killer Ruggiero's organ to the smoother Django's voice, not to mention the chilling Hillyard's tenor. If you never discovered the beauty of Lieutenant, better pick this CD up! NYC SKA is the best.

A CLASSIC IN BOTH SKA AND MUSIC,

It's hard to sum up all the accolades I'd like to splurge out; to be perfectly blunt, this album (as well as their follow-up, Back With a New Batch) is one that defines modern (and even traditional) ska and proves that even in the bland banality of the '90s, originality and genius is still alive. Jeff "Django" Baker is a mastermind, and Vic Ruggiero is one of the most amazing musicians to come around ever in popular music (and, trust me, i've heard a lot of music)!
