4.0 out of 5 stars Great New Orleans sound..., September 3, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Open Up: Whatcha Gonna Do (Audio CD)
This was a great CD to introduce the pre-schoolers I teach to the various instruments used in Dixieland jazz. The musicians are consummate, inventive, and best of all, FUN! Toe-tappin', body-wigglin' music for anyone.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great New Orleans funk-jazz!, October 30, 2000
This review is from: Open Up: Whatcha Gonna Do (Audio CD)
If you're a tuba or bari sax player, add eight or ten more stars to my review, because this band spotlights its superb tuba and bari sax. A great solid dance CD, although I like the regular Dirty Dozen band -- with the electric bass, organ etc. -- for a more straight-up funk sound. This one is a tad more artsy and restrained. But make no mistake, it's great fun!............KOBY.
