5.0 out of 5 stars A taste of what's to come...
After succumbing to the spellbound offerings of _Apaika_ and _Faery Child_, it was impossible not to become caught in the sweepingly dark melodies The Dreamside created. 3.0 out of 5 stars Sort of Repetetive...
The new song is pretty awesome. The remixes leave a bit to be desired, and considering the album version and the single version are practically the same... I wouldn't really spend the money on it, unless you're collecting their CD's or something. Like any single, it's the same song over and over again... I suggest you grab the new CD instead!

After succumbing to the spellbound offerings of _Apaika_ and _Faery Child_, it was impossible not to become caught in the sweepingly dark melodies The Dreamside created. Blessed with wonderful musicians and a strong female vocalist that's neither harsh nor too ethereal, their lyrics/music is a perfectly hypnotic blend of Gothic Rock with mystical world rhythms, and "Open Your Eyes" (the first single from their fifth full-length album that is also a duet with Rogue of The Cruxshadows) follows in much the same vein.

This really is a must-have for fans because not only does it feature "Open Your Eyes" but "Spin Moon Magic" is another track included here, and the single contains remixes by Blutengel and Lunascape too. There's even a multimedia file that's got several wallpapers and a making of the "Open Your Eyes" music video, which looks like the normal happenings you'd expect to see at some Gothic nightclub with live performers (you know...the atypical black leather pants, sexy corsets, fishnets, lots of fire, a fog machine...you get the idea). However, if you wish to see the COMPLETE video, make sure and buy Asleep By Dawn's _Sleepwatching_ DVD Sept. 20th!
