What I like about this book is that you can laugh and learn at the same time!!! I've tried some of the "new ways" from this book and some made it and other didn't. That won't stop me from trying again next year...every gardening year is different and next year is the best!!!

Open Your Heart with Gardens: Mastering Life through Love of Plants (Open Your Heart With) What a fabulous read this book is! As a would-be gardener whose thumb has mostly tended toward the brown, I read this book with growing enthusiasm. I not only learned a lot about things of which I'd never heard (lasagna gardening???), but I was entertained all the way through. With wit and intelligence, the author has transformed an often overwhelming subject into an inspirational dip into the glories of gardening. Once I finished the book, I found myself noticing plants in a whole new way; plus, I started my own mini garden in the city! The resources in the book will be useful for years. I wholeheartedly recommend this book!
