The Opening of the Way : A Practiful Guide to the Wisdom Teaching of Ancient Egypt is a refreshing alternative to the more traditional religious literature. It is very well written and easy to follow. Although not advertised as a "Self Help" book; it definitely falls in that category. Isha Schwaller De Lubicz displays her wealth of Egyptian knowledge by starting out with correlating the body system and organs impacting man's spiritual system. The stomach representing "The Opening of Way". The entire book focuses on the spiritual growth of the individual using the lessons of the ancient Egyptians. Its void of the religious rhetoric and concentrates only on the basic of the ancient Egyptian teachings. This is an excellent book for spiritual self examination. If you want a step by step on how to make a spiritual transformation using ancient Egyptian wisdom, this is the book to get. I am using it as my personal "Good news Book - Bible ". I have enjoyed it immensely and look forward to reading more of Isha Schwaller De Lubicz works.

i have read dozens of books on spirituality and esoteric subjects. From Levi to Manly Hall, from Steiner to Aivanhov...and nothing is as concise and profound and utterly simple as de Lubicz in this book. Because what is the point of stacking up knowledge during your life time if you don't "live" the right way? The author shows us that Way. Without religious concepts or tedious historical narratives, she gets to the point. Trust her.

It's often said that life doesn't come with an instruction manual. I beg to differ.

One of the most spiritually profound books I've ever read. I am so impressed by her husband's works but even more so, with her. This book should be studied by all spiritual students.

I did not find this book by accident and no one told me about it. It was time to find it. If your here reading this review and others, the same thing may have happened to you.

At first, I thought, these ancient ideas are not very scientific or outdated thinking of a primitive culture. Please don't make that mistake. The Egyptians knew far more about the spiritual world and themselves than our current primitive, materialistic culture.

This book has much to teach and study if you just allow it to do so. I have read many occult and esoteric books and this is one of the best.

If your reading this, I'll give something mind blowing to think about which I discovered. Read chapters 10 and 11 on the Guardians of the Threshold in "To Know Higher Worlds" by Rudolf Steiner. Now Read the chapter "Soul and Consciousness" about the Permanent Witness and the Spiritual Witness. If you think about it, my aha moment will eventually come to you. Now look at a diagram of the Hermetic Qabalah Tree of life and think about Malkuth, the 32nd Path, Yesod, the 25th Path and Tiphareth.

After reading and studying "The Opening of the Way", then read and study "To Know Higher Worlds" by Rudolf Steiner and compare them.
