I love this movie, but I have to say that if you are going to get it, make sure you get a copy that is in cantonese. The english version made for america has a random nude scene inserted, and it cuts two of the funniest scenes in the movie. It is well worth reading the subtitles to see those two scenes.

This double DVD package is probably only for ardent Jackie Chan fans. First off Operation Condor is actually the sequel to The Armour of God no matter what the cover tells you. Next Operation Condor to me is the more entertaining movie from start to finish, with Jackie Chan's usual mix of great stunts, balletic fight scenes, and slapstick humor. The Armour of God has that as well just not enough of it. But what the Armour of God does have that all Jackie Chan fans must see (if they haven't already viewed dozens of times) is the final fight scene between Jackie and (spoiler alert) what I can only assume is a Sister Sledge tribute band in high heels and corsets. Yes I know that it his stunt team doing the actual dangerous fighting and stunts and that the actual women were probably only in the close shots. That makes it even funnier to me knowing that possibly Mars, Ken Lo, or Rocky Li were dressed in a bustier, stockings and heels while fighting and falling is amazing.

First of all, I'm a big fan of these movies, I watched OC 2 like 30 times since I was a kid.

I started the Operation Condor 2 DVD, the picture was 1/2 of screen. I needed to re-size it on my computer with my Media Player settings. So the quality of the picture is off, if you don't have settings in your DVD player, you can't watch the movie full screen. (I cannot, when I tried another media player on my computer.)

It's because the copyright warning and the menu is 4:3, but the movie is 16:9, so the computer's media players can't handle it.

The subtitles doesn't work with the Media Player I use. So I can choose between watching the movie full screen without subtitles, or 1/2 screen with subtitles.

The 3rd problem is the worst. I don't mind the video quality that much, I speak English so I understand everything, but the music. What is happened to the awesome original soundtrack? The original music is so intense, so awesome, so fitting, funny, cool, but on this version of DVD release the company changed it to a really cheap and boring music. I'm really disappointed, If I'd have known they took the music off and they changed it to this, I'd buy a different version. I don't care about the picture quality, the subtitles, the bad English dubbing, but the music just horrible...

For example, they original one has funny music during the funnies scene in the movie. For some reason this DVD release has weird/scary music during that scene.
(It's like watching the famour Rocky tranining montage scene with a Britney Spears song instead of "Hearts on Fire".)

The French version has the original music. I watched the German release, it has the great original music.
The US version has this really boring music. It's ruined the movie for me.

I didn't check the DVD #1 yet, but I bougth the set for the 2nd movie, so It doesn't matter, really.

Both movies are great. The first one funnier than the second but knowing me, I can't say no to any Jackie Chan films.
This is worth the purchase if you ask me.
Lots of action, comedy and much more. Gotta love it! :)

If you are a fan of Jackie Chan you should definitively see these movies. If you're not a fan, then you don't like action movies or you don't know Jackie Chan movies well enough. What I like about Jackie Chan movies is that all the fight scenes are engineered by him in a very creative way, but it seems very natural. Notice that most fighting scenes nowadays have shots that last less then 1 sec, but in Jackie's movies they last MUCH longer and don't seem fake like in Bruce Lees movies or most action movies. Of course, no one could fight like that in real life but it seems like its possible, especially due to the little cuts in between the scenes. Jackie should receive much more credit then what he has, but he was unfortunate to enter the American movies industry late because his talent would have been best boosted nowadays with all the modern equipment and cinema knowledge. Instead, he wasted a great deal of potential while doing movies in the 70s and early 80s in the Chinese movie industry, which was only beginning to develop and people had no clue how to do movies. However, these two movies are very good despite being Chinese, but it's in a period where the Chinese learned how to do movies better by absorbing American techniques. Buy it, it's worth it! One of his best movies!

Something to bear in mind is that in the original production of each film was actually reversed in order. So internationally, these films are Armour of God, and Armour of God 2 - Operation Condor. Chan's character is very much the same character though, a tomb raider, but in many ways the story of Operation Condor feels inspired by those of Indiana Jones.
Condor features brief nudity and some sexual humor, but is a cute romp. The women are gorgeous, and the bad guys range from the evil to the hilarious.

'One of his earlier movies. This one is well worth buying. It is very funny and full of Chan's antics. Our family has watched it quite a few times and have laughed as much the last time as the first. Great Movie.
