MIDNIGHT IN MONTANA

When a federal transport was ambushed and overturned in the wilds of Montana, MIDNIGHT agent Sean Cutter was given forty-eight hours to track down a desperate woman. But falsely accused, Mattie Logan didn't want to be saved. It was Sean's job to convince her otherwise.

A former Department of Defense scientist now targeted by the terrorist known only as the Jaguar, Mattie couldn't risk betrayal again. But neither could Sean. Caught out in the blistering cold, Mattie sought shelter beneath Sean's broad shoulders, each needing the other's warmth to stay alive. But would trusting one another prove to be more difficult than clearing Mattie's name?

5.0 out of 5 stars #3 OF THE MIDNIGHT OPS - I ENJOY FOLLOWING CHARACTERS, February 10, 2007

(REAL NAME)
This review is from: Operation: Midnight Guardian (Harlequin Intrigue) (Mass Market Paperback)
Mattie Logan was wrongly accused of being a traitor. No one believed her.
Loved the excape. Someone was after her and killed the U. S. Marshall's taking her to prison. Now she was running for her life.

Great Guns! a blizzard is approaching. I could feel the hypothermia.

Martin Wolfe calls in his Midnight agent, Sean Cutter. Sean had suffered the torture meted out by Jaguar and survived, not without scars.
He knows what will happen to Maggie if Jaguar gets ahold of her but Wolfe considers her expendable.

Sean is not so certain of Maggie's innocence. But she can't prove she was being framed from inside prison.

The trek through the blizzard, the excape from the rocket throwing helicopter and the destruction of some of Jaguar's men was movie scene worthy.

Thoroughly enjoyable plot - excellent pace - a villian who is dangerous - a conflicted hero - and another silly woman who thinks she can help on her own. And she is working on a weapon of mass destruction?

Cutter finally calls for backup from another member of Midnight, Mike Madrid [his story comes up next in line]Operation: Midnight Rendezvous.
Jake Vanderpol just makes an appearance [Operation: Midnight Escape]#2

Definitely Recommed these books -m - I love following characters from book to book.

3.0 out of 5 stars Porcelain Skin, August 15, 2006

This review is from: Operation: Midnight Guardian (Harlequin Intrigue) (Mass Market Paperback)
Mattie is a blond scientist with an extremely high IQ. She has porcelain skin and would rather die than spend the rest of her life in prison. The reader will commit this information to memory especially after being reminded about it throughout the book. Mattie is wrongly accused of treason and she is also being pursued by the CIA and a terrorist madman. As interesting and fast the story moves along snowy terrains and bullet showers, its end is written quite poorly.
