Fun reading for older kids, and written before the Unabomber became a cause celebre.

This review is from: Operation Sherlock (Ai Gang 1): Operation Sherlock (Ai Gang 1) (Paperback)
I liked this book a lot! I would only suggest it if you like Science Fiction. It is the first in the series, so if you read this one be ready to read the next in the series beacause it's a real cliff hanger. One reason I liked this book is it has lots of discription!!

I have the original set of four (from the 1980s), but it looks like there are now only three offered. Did they combine or condense them into three? These were my favorite books in elementary school. Just curious!

Bruce Coville is responsible for my obsession,

This review is from: Operation Sherlock (Ai Gang 1): Operation Sherlock (Ai Gang 1) (Paperback)
I got into Bruce Coville back when I was in late elementary school, back around the time that these books had first come out, and as I look back nostalgically after years of growing up and surviving college as an English major, I give these books credit for being my first true literary obsession. There are so many various characters to identify with, an fascinating mystery and plot that grips you the whole way through, and as a child, this book fed to my endless imagination and made me realize just how exciting and amazing of a place books and writing can be. Although the A.I. Gang was my personal favorite of Bruce Coville's as a child, I give credit to him and all his books for making me want to become a writer. I recommend this book to anyone who has an imagination and cannot stand the thought of being restricted by what the immediate world offers.
