5.0 out of 5 stars International version as Good as any other!
I got the international version of this book and it is exactly the same (from the comparisions I have done with classmates) as the American hardback version. I would not buy the book for fun, but for class it is good.

3.0 out of 5 stars Student Review, July 19, 2010

I'm about half way through the book. I will update my review after I finish the book. For a highly quantitative subject matter like operations management, it reads like a history book. For the most part, if you can get through the explanation, you will understand the mechanics of the calculations. The chapters are dense with many concepts and functional formulas and calculations. It even goes into explanation of how to do calculations in excel. However, the book does jump around from topic to topic. You won't have a clear picture of what operations management really is from this book. You will walk away with fragments of knowledge. This book serves as an introduction to decision making, forecasting, etc.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great book for on-line class!, December 9, 2010
This review is from: Operations Management (Hardcover)
I used this book for my MGMT 370 class. I found it very useful, being that I was not in class. The book taught me the material very well and I relied on it a lot. I was never good at statistics which is a pre-req for this class I just finished, but the book had me understanding better than my math class. I would highly recommend this book to students and teachers because I feel like I learned a lot from it. The examples were clear, and the definitions were easy to understand.

5.0 out of 5 stars Buy the hard copy!, June 25, 2010

I bought the Kindle-PC version. It was a major pain in the butt to find the actual page, since it goes by "location".. so Page 16 and 17 could be from Location 4250 to 5380. I highly recommend this textbook. I'm buying a hard-copy to use in conjunction with my job as a Manufacturing Engineer. I don't usually get excited over textbooks, let alone reading and using them. This is like the holy grail of management.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best textbook for College JUnior/Senior level class, April 17, 2009

I use this book for an Operations Management class I teach at the University (Junior/Senior) level. I find the book to be well-written and well organized.

It covers all aspects of operations management with authority, lucidity, and without too much information overload or clutter.

I highly recommend this book.

4.0 out of 5 stars Textbook Rating, July 21, 2010

Like all of the texts I have used during my classes; this one is well written and interesting to read. I had initially expected the texts for my classes to be dull, technical, and quite boring to read.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Book, January 5, 2011

Like most textbooks it depends on the teacher to make the material interesting. There is a free student companion site which I like, because several publishers make you put in a code and if you buy the book used, you end up having to buy the code. The only complaint is that it appears the student power point slides are not as comprehensive as the instructors.

Bought it for a Graduate class. I wish more info was given if it came with or without DVD-or any accompanying materials that can be bought.
