Each volume in the Operator's Companion series stands as a primary source of information for today's bell archivist because it faithfully reproduces sales and service material which, for the most part, was issued directly by the single, genuine fountainhead source---the manufacturer. Certain portions of the vintage matter from which this volume was compiled were discovered to be in relatively poor physical condition for copying. Abrasion wear at folds, prolonged exposure to sunlight, water damage and even nibbling by rodents had here and there taken their toll. Restoration work was carefully performed to improve and minimize damage wherever possible. --This text refers to the Hardcover edition.
