Tina Proctor and I worked on this book for eight years, while we were fascilitating women's and girls' groups to nurture confidence and cultivate fully engaged living. Do it your way! (Confident girls become strong women) . . . Tina came from a childhood filled with a strong kinship to the earth and all of the animals; I was an A student with a "secret" of sexual abuse by a caretaker outside of my family. Our varied background, as well as many other pieces of our personalities season this sweet and powerful book.
Since being published in 2010, Ophelia's Oracle: Discovering the Healthy, Happy, Self-Aware, and Confident Girl in the Mirror is being given from woman to girl, girl to girl, and girl to woman in the ancient tradition of sharing that girls and women know by heart. Having received national and international recognition for excellence, it is still finding its way into stores across the country.

A friend of my recommended this book to me for my 12 year old daughter. I am so glad I took their advice. My daughter loves this book. She has recommended it to all of her friends and they even get together to do the activities together. Her and her friends seem to get along better now with less fighting. I feel that since she has gotten this book she seems to be able to handle difficult situations more effectively. Thanks to the authors for this helpful book for teenage girls.

I bought this book for my daughter and she absolutely loves it. However, I have to say I think I love it as much as she does. We have had so much fun with the activities, but mostly I feel like my daughter has been given tools to help her get more smoothly through the trying teenage years.
