Product Description
Opie is a 30 year old virgin whose life revolves around a daily grind of wolfing down junk food and watching TV. Content with his boring life, everything goes spectacularly awry for Opie the day a sexy pot dealer chick named Thai mistakenly knocks on his loft door. Thai opens Opie to the possibilities of love, but then so does her blonde leatherclad lesbian lover, Dakota. Opie then meets the free spirited, gun-toting Rain via an internet personal ad and is soon mating and dating her as well.

The setup at first is a dream come true for our geek hero until the women begin to grow hilariously jealous of each other and slowly drive Opie crazy. It all boils to a big emotional climax where the women demand Opie choose one of them.

Let's get this out of the way right away, no there's no Ron Howard in this movie (well there's a flash very young him in the Andy Griffth Show), no there is absolutely no nudity, no the whole marketing information about this movie is pretty much wrong, and yes this is a very adult movie. And the director / author / lead actor, James Ricardo has Rod Blagojevich's hair. In fact he could go on Saturday Night Live and to that impersonation, it's so perfectly the same. Phew that was tough.

Let's also get this out of the way, this is an example of the worst sound ever recorded in a film, an example of reshooting not looking anything like the original, a cameraman that needs a new tape measure (the number of out of focus shots is incredible - it just about killed me to see the hair on the back of somebody's head in focus and their eyes out of focus, dang it, missed focus by 5 inches), the editing is really poor, the cameraman can't track with the camera level, they paid no money for music rights (mostly classical royalty free music), and the acting at best is poor. The bright side, the exposure is mostly right.

This film was shot in basically one room, a hallway, inside a car, and a few outdoor locations. Simplicity like you cannot believe.

Now you ask, why did I rate this film so highly if all those things are so bad? This is one darn funny movie. It has to one of the best scripts I have ever heard read to me. I cannot repeat one single joke on Amazon, sorry, they won't allow any examples like that. These are truly adult jokes. But they are just darn funny. This film is 1000% better than that dribbling Pineapple Express.

There is just something about this film that endeared itself to me. The deadpan lack of acting fit with the really obscene jokes they were telling. Nobody blinks. Only one comment was made about his lotion dispenser. It's a bit like cinema verite gone bad. Cinema veriet movies watched normal people move around, doing normal things, reading their lines that were supposedly not scripted, and nothing ever happened. But in this case, some really funny jokes happen. I'm pretty sure 1/2 of the film is just somebody knocking on the door and Opie (James Ricardo) opening the door. It has this strange appeal.

The cast is interesting. Mostly a group of newcomers. James Ricardo has done one other movie. April Wade, (Thai the drug dealing neighbor, with a very odd enticing look about her) has been in a 18 movies, where Creepshow II was the only significant movie. Ute Werner (Dakota, Thai's butch girlfriend) appears in How I Met Your Mother this season (in the 3 days of snow, she is Viveka). Jesselynn Desmond (Rain the gun toting, no standards, third girl friend) has been in 12 television shows or movies. Samantha Turk (Randi the very very geeky neighbor girl) was a pool girl in Entourage, season one.

The movie has been rebadged from Sunnyvale. Yes they get much more attention with the current title.

Bonus features, slim but awesome. There are two alternate tracks. The first with James Ricardo and possibly another person, comment about the film. The second is all the girls get together and talk about the film. My guess, they got a bunch of pizza and beer together, ran through the film and had fun commenting. I did not listen to either of these tracks from start to finish, I did listen off and on, and they were genuinely funny. They seem worth a listen.

This is one of the funniest comedies ever. It's a nitro comedy cocktail equal parts sex, geek culture, women, porn, pot, pathos, threesomes and leggy lesbians.

If I could put -1, I would do it, because it is such of empty movie, I am so fool, that I spent money on it :(
Seems like that movie was made by second year acting school kids, who saw the camera the first time. Empty, could not keep your attention longer than for 2 minutes, no idea or style in that movie.
Complitly waste.
Do not be like me, bought that movie with expectation, that title good-movie good. No way!...
