Perfect picnic or camping knife.
R.J. MacReady
Just add a bottle of wine, a loaf of crusty bread, and a couple good cheeses, and you're good to go.

Are you buying gear for your next epic bike touring adventure with your friends? Do all your friends have facial hair styles from the 19th century and make 'artisanal' versions of everyday things at significant effort and cost? Do you prefer one item that accomplishes two tasks with a soupçon of panache?

Then you need this Opinel No.10 Corkscrew Knife.

Imagine yourself approaching a picnic and noticing that they're struggling to open a bottle of wine. They've made the rookie mistake of selecting a cork-sealed bottle of wine rather than the technically superior Stelvin closure, but have neglected to bring the appropriate tool. "To the rescue," you say, hopefully to yourself. If you have this Opinel No.10 Corkscrew Knife, not only can you assist the hapless revelers, but you can also slice the apple that you brought in case of an impromptu outdoor eating event.

You could also menace them and steal all their valuables, because the Opinel No.10 Corkscrew Knife is long enough to be terrifying. The signature Opinel locking collar means that it can be fixed open, instantly communicating to these unfortunate picnickers that their days on this earth have reached their end if they don't hand over their iPhones.

The beechwood handle is sealed, and the blade is stainless steel, so if things turn ugly, you can rest assured that the blood of the unfortunate won't damage the murder weapon you use to open your wine. Be aware, however, that the inside of the corkscrew recess is not sealed, so be sure to thoroughly clean and disinfect your Opinel No.10 Corkscrew Knife after an armed robbery gone bad to mitigate its use as DNA evidence against you in the forthcoming trial.

If you have one of these in your back pack or in your glovebox, you are always ready for an impromptu picnic. Just add a bottle of wine, a loaf of crusty bread, and a couple good cheeses, and you're good to go.

I had the good fortune to buy one of these in a little knife shop in Arles, France, and I love it. I've since bought several online to give to my friends as gifts.

Highly recommended.

Perfect knife for traveling with the corkscrew built in. Took me a while to loosen the safety...we had to spray it with WD40. Sturdy and comfortable in the hand.

Bigger than I imagined it would be, quite a bit. Very nice. I recommend it as a good picnic knife, a good house warming gift, great for a hike, etc.

I already love Opinel's, had to get this for the wife. She loves it and carries it in her purse. I was pleasantly surprised how well the corkscrew locks up! No. 10 is fairly large for edc, but in my wifes purse is no problem!

Perfect picnic or camping knife. Sturdy build, large size, and sharp blade make it useful for all kinds of outdoor tasks. The blade takes and holds a great edge. Most importantly, it will open your wine.

I have had several of these knives. They are a favorite of mine, very simple and basic. This one has a INOX blade and a wine key. A little too large for the pocket, but will do nicely in my picnic basket or backpack for food preparation.

I like this knife, and the Amazon price seemed lower than the same knife and model in other outdoor catalogs. I was impressed with the fit and finish of this knife. The corkscrew feature adds cost to this knife, but I think it is worth the extra cost over the plain No. 10 Opinel knife.
