it's honestly a bit bigger than I expected, but still it's excellent very light cool little knife, the blade curves nicely around the mushroom. The brush is a bit silly but I might use it once a while.

Being a lover of traditional knives, I have to say this one is not pretty -- it has an odd shaped blade and handle and a brush sticking out-- like most mushroom knives. But, it fits great in the hand and it WORKS. I have been using flat-bladed knives to harvest my chantrelles and this one wraps around from behind and cuts cleanly, without disturbing soil and mycelia underneath. Put a lanyard on it (it has a lnyard hole) and wear around your neck-- very convenient. Not sure about other reviewer's complaint about price-- take care of it and this knife will last for a long time!

I bought this knife as a gift. Very elegant and high quality. However, it is heavily overpriced. I would buy it for myself if price be around $10.
