3.0 out of 5 stars Good for those who want to consider alternative careers, December 15, 2008
This review is from: Opportunities in Biological Science Careers (Opportunities In...Series) (Paperback)
"Opportunities in Biological Science Careers" is a good reference for students who want to consider alternative careers that include Biological Sciences. Such students should start consulting guides such as this one, when they are in Middle School.

I strongly recommend that you buy the latest version/edition of this book that is available. Due to rapid changes in Biochemistry laboratory testing careers such as DNA testing, the opportunities are, also, changing rapidly.

Please be aware that there are alternative careers that may not be mentioned in this book. I found a lack of information on sales careers, business careers, analytical chemistry careers, careers in the pharmaceutical industry, and careers that have some involvement in agriculture. All of these careers would involve a minor in Biological Sciences as a minimum. Most careers that involve Biological Science also involve general chemistry, basic organic chemistry, biochemistry, and/or analytical chemistry.

I recommend this book but I also recommend a second similar book to be sure to get somewhat more coverage of the possibilities.
