More About the Author

Chad Ellis is currently the Vice-President of Sales for AVID Medical, Inc., the third largest U.S. assembler of Custom Procedure Trays. He started with the company in 2001 as the National Sales Manger responsible for the hiring and training of a national sales force. He has helped the company grow sales from $30M in 2001 to over $140M in 2009. Prior to joining AVID, Chad spent four years as a Maxxim Medical Regional Manager and was responsible for a ten person sales team in the Midwest.

From 1985-1997, Chad worked as an Account Executive for Kimberly-Clark Health Care. During his tenure there, he spent time in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Egypt, Belgium, and The Netherlands providing sales training and support for manufacturing and distribution partners. He was a five time member of the Ambassador Club and ranked as the top Account Executive of the year in 1993. Before joining KC, Chad worked for Procter & Gamble in the Boundary Surgical Products division as a Territory Manager and Sales Trainer. He graduated from Western Kentucky University in 1981 with a degree in Organizational Communication and Mathematics.

The book was very instrumental in helping put together a strategy for landing a medical sales job. It was also very educational about the different types of medical companies and what they look for in sales people. I highly recommend the book to anyone looking for a career in medical sales.
