From the Publisher

The Opportunity In Every Problem introduces a fresh new concept: the key to success is Prolific Thinking. Forget positive thinking, and even proactive thinking—Taylor’s Prolific Thinking is a revolutionary and inspiring new way to look at problems that opens the mind to the hidden opportunities in every difficult circumstance. While positive thinkers deny and dismiss the negative, the prolific thinker searches for the negative because he or she knows that within the negative they will find inventions, grand ideas and marvelous creations. Taylor tells the story of a man of great wealth who takes a troubled boy under his wing and teaches him how to change his life—by focusing on the principle of Prolific Thinking. Rather than another boring how-to book, The Opportunity In Every Problem helps the reader experience prolific thinking with a captivating story worth reading again and again. Taylor offers a simple process that anyone can follow and appreciate, illustrating how to achieve regardless of the roadblocks that hamper success. Opportunity shows how to eliminate negativity, empower the soul, and realize one’s own capacity—even "enjoy" a problem. The Opportunity In Every Problem offers a way to push beyond mere problem solving, to finding the opportunities hidden in whatever hurdle has presented itself.

More About the Author

Although heading dangerously close to the age of 50, Scott is still competitive in sport and loves to be active in all areas of life. His first book "The Opportunity In Every Problem" was a miracle of sorts. He states his worst subject in school was English, where he displayed terrible penmanship, spelling and grammar. However, without any forethought, while sitting down to write a simple business article, the first paragraph of what was to become his first published book, came to him. He went back to his article but that first paragraph continued to engage his mind. He later read it again, when the next paragraph came to him. The story continued to unfold as he feverishly put to paper the inspired words that flowed into his mind. He admits he was actually learning the subject while in the act of writing. He continued writing for two and a half days until it was complete. Amazingly, that is where he learned how to write and though he self-published the first version, when the publishers took over, they made hardly any changes to the story (only a few words and moved a few commas). Now Scott edits, ghost writes and has authored various business training manuals as well as continues to write other literary works.

5.0 out of 5 stars 5-Star Concept, February 22, 2002
By A Customer
As with a good mystery, once started I couldn't put the book down. The message was potent and the approach unique. Many authors provide you with ho-hum ideas for self-improvement, but "The Opportunity In Every Problem" is a refreshing change from the norm. Being personally acquainted with this author, I know first hand of his sincere and pro-active desire to assist others in improving their business and personal lives. Scott's technique, as displayed in this book, is at once elevating and impacting. Applying this direction to everyday life is possible, and achievable. I have found the whole idea to be life-changing and encourage everyone to "give it a try". You'll be glad you found those obscure opportunities to succeed!
