The Brothers Cameron: An Opportunity for Resentment reminded me of one of those swashbuckling movies from the 1940s, filled with unlikely heroes, brothers that are polar opposites of each other, and a charmingly beautiful damsel in distress. Stephan and Will Cameron are those two brothers-totally different in every way. The darn Cameron family is on the bad side of the local Baron Turnbull, who decides he's had enough of them. Stephan's childhood pal, Mary, has grown up to be a looker who's in financial straits. A new arrival in town, in the form of the lovely Lady Jessica, is chasing after Mary's favorite men, and the boys are having a hard time getting along.
Drama! Tons of drama, action, unexpected twists and turns, and a timeless magic fills the pages of this book. I spent the free moments of my evening imagining a dashing Errol Flynn and Tyrone Powers playing these handsome boys in a cinematic version of the best action/adventure/romance I've read in a while!
