Book Description

Each book in the Clover Park Series can be read as a stand-alone novel, or for more fun read them in order. Characters you’ve loved from past books frequently pop up in other books.

Unleash the wild woman…?

Ex-cop Ryan O'Hare takes one look at buttoned-up control freak Liz Garner and just itches to loosen the woman up. Not that he’s into her. Because a woman like that comes with way too many expectations. Not to mention, she practically works for him, and he didn’t hire Liz to watch after his beloved Harley-stealing Gran so he could turn Liz loose in his bed. Still, there’s something about her, a hidden wild side, that makes him wonder what it would take.

Liz must be crazy to work for the insensitive, arrogant, horribly…hot man she's avoided for years. Unfortunately, she needs the money and Ryan's grandmother needs a keeper. (Midnight tango lessons and ziplines with Gran, anyone?) Ryan's rare smile and swaggering confidence have Liz torn between throwing her favorite pinot grigio at his head or throwing herself at him. Can this control freak find a way to let loose with the tough, no-strings guy who once broke her heart?

The Clover Park Series
Book 1: The Opposite of Wild
Book 2: Daisy Does It All
Book 3: Bad Taste in Men
Book 4: Kissing Santa (a Novella)

5.0 out of 5 stars Humor, romance in a beautiful story... July 16, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition
So... I tried to think how to start this review, but even if we have Ryan in the first scene, what I really liked in the first place and made me extremely curious was Ryan's Grandma, she's a 'little' old, but don't let her hear you saying it, she'll kill you! I'm joking, people! Ryan's Gran or Maggie is a really interesting character- seriously she was like the cherry on top of the wedding cake, but let's not going there ... yet!
The story presents Ryan, ex-cop, now private investigator who works for rich woman and cheating husbands, well not exactly for the cheating spouses, but you got my drift, so on day he's receiving an call from his brother, Travis about Gran and how she was stealing his beloved Harvey and now, because life's a bitch, she's implicated in an accident, but after the other accident (yes, yes, another one), an accident that changed her life and the manner she's living it. Now, she wants to live and be happy, but her happiness is not like her grandson imagine it. Now, he needs someone to look after his beloved Gran, someone like...

....Liz- she's 'uptight', a control freak, a good girl, a buttoned-up kind of woman, with dreams of a loving husband, children and living the' happily ever after'. Well, Ryan is not a boyfriend material and of course, he doesn't want to be a husband or a father- but in his defense, he has his personal demons to battle, issues about his father- and Liz knows that, well almost all that. Let's not forget this little fact about how he needs a keeper for his Gran.

5.0 out of 5 stars I thoroughly enjoyed all three books in this series August 26, 2014
By Kathy
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I thoroughly enjoyed all three books in this series. The characters are real people, not billionaires, broken or whatever. They have situations they have to work through, but there is no major drama and there is a lot of humor throughout the book. Although I liked this book, I think my favorite of the series was Daisy Does It All. Buy all three, you won't be sorry.

5.0 out of 5 stars Swooning for opposites..... April 16, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition
I received “The Opposite of Wild” as a free ARC from the author Kylie Gilmore, which in return I am to give an honest review.
Kylie Gilmore is an author that will forever be an author that I read every book she publishes. This book was amazing, hands down, no questions asked.
Ryan was drool worthy, and Liz at times made me want to scream. I feel that they balanced each other out nicely. There healthy banter was outstanding, and their chemistry was one that made me swoon.
After reading this book, it’s hard to believe that Kylie hasn’t written anything before. I recommend this book to everybody I speak to about books. Check it out!!!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars THE OPPOSITE OF WILD March 24, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition
There was a major humiliation that happened 17 years ago between Liz Garner and Ryan O’Hare at the city pool where he was a life guard. This event was life altering for Liz who at the time was 13 years old, overweight, awkward, and shy.
To her he was the older 17 year old, handsome, trim, confident, and in control life guard she had crushed on. It was so humiliating she has done everything and anything to avoid any and all contact with Ryan since.
Since that time though she has done everything in her power also to change that girl that everyone saw, through dieting and exercising. Plus, she is now a respected teacher, does nothing in which anyone could talk badly about her at all.
Ryan looked at that day she calls one big “Humiliation” as life altering in that it made him want to protect and serve.
To be able to do whatever he could to help people and he always thought of Liz as the girl that helped him on his career path.
Yet, Liz wanted the white picketed fence, kids, and a husband with the no shedding dog. Whereas, Ryan wanted to find a good “lay” and move on no “strings attached.” She tries his way when meets his grandmother and becomes her keeper. But when things become confusing for them very quickly when lines become blurred. I love the characters, Molly, Ryan’s grandmother is a hoot! You will fall in love with this cast of crazy characters and their offbeat lives. I give this book 5 stars. Provide by netgalley.com. Find us on: www.1rad-readerreviews.com

5.0 out of 5 stars Recommend this read February 2, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I loved this book! Right from the beginning I was drawn into the characters problems and lives. The issues keeping the heroine and hero apart seemed genuine and demonstrated how people can experience the same event quite differently. The book was well-written and engaging. As a reviewer, I rarely give five stars, but this book is getting them. Highly recommended!

I'm looking forward to the next in this series.

3.0 out of 5 stars Contemporary Romance April 30, 2014
By NJP
Format:Kindle Edition
I received this book from the author in exchange for a honest review.

My Thoughts: This was an OK read for me. I really thought I was going to love this book.

The Heroine: She was really annoying. She has always pined away for the hero, but never pursued him. When he shows an interest in her, she takes on the guy's part. She uses him for sex only. She was convinced that he could never change his playboy ways. He should have had more self respect for himself and dumped her.

The Hero: He has known the heroine since childhood. He never knew she had feelings for him. He had a difficult childhood raising his siblings after his mother's suicide and his father's desertion. I think that is why he never committed to a relationship before the heroine. At first, he is shocked that he is attracted to her. They date and eventually he gets tired of the way she treats him. I generally liked his character. Whereas, the heroine annoyed me many times.

The Story: Liz Garner (the heroine) is at home when her sister suddenly shows up. Daisy is pregnant and Liz offers to help with the baby. She realizes she need a summer job until school starts back up in the fall. Liz is an elementary school teacher. She sees an ad in the paper for an elder care giver. She calls the number and is shocked that it is Ryan O'Hare's number. She has always pined over him, but knew he would never go for someone like her.

Ryan calls back and hires her. She goes to his grandmother's house and realizes Ryan never told her. Eventually, Ryan's grandmother accepts her. They strike up a friendship.

The rest of the book deals with Ryan and Liz's eventual HEA.
