An erotic road-trip!,

This review is from: Opposites Attract (Cheek) (Paperback)
Alexis Grant is used to a life of luxury. Designer clothes, New York penthouse apartment, social standing, all paid for by mother. But when her mother gets arrested for embezzlement and when the government comes and takes away everything she's left almost penniless, jobless and homeless. Her best friend and roommate comes to her rescue and persuades her to go on a trip with her, her boyfriend and an out of work tattoo artist. At first she is appalled at everything, and Ethan, the tattoo artist is everything she never wants in a man. But as she gets to know him she finds him more and more appealing and pretty soon she's falling in love. She learns to eat hot dogs, use a toilet at a gas station, even manages to do some cleaning, then there is a strange man who is following them on the trip, and finally mother shows up to rescue her and bring her back to her life of luxury. Now Alexis needs to decide what she really wants out of life.
Michelle M. Pillow has penned a truly great road-trip story. This will get you laughing, crying and howling, not to mention your thighs will be shivering when you read the hot sex scenes. Ms. Pillow has written wonderful characters that sweep their way into the reader's heart. Alexis is at first such a spoiled brat that she doesn't even deserve her good friend, but thank God she has her. The interaction between Alexis and Ethan is priceless. Their bickering and arguing are typical of two from different backgrounds, but this story does prove that opposites do indeed attract. There is also the secondary romance between Alexis' friend and her boyfriend which is also sexy and sweet. The reader will also be wondering what is up with the man who is following the group on their road trip. This reviewer is wondering if one of the characters is modeled on her own husband who is a tattoo artist with his own shop. Altogether a wonderful read that brought tears to this reviewer's eyes. |
