This is an ok coloring book for opposites. I just did not like the artwork very much which is surprising because I own a number of Anna Pomaska's coloring books. Some of the animals and objects just came across as creepy to me, not cute. Plus, I think parents may need to explain why some of these things are opposites... and some images could have been better chosen to teach those opposites. To me the book is not worth spending the time to scan or edit - I will use as is. Here is what the book includes:

- Tall giraffe / short doxie
- Give gift / receive
- Stop / go (needs a bit of explanation for kids if not used to crossing guards)
- Push / pull
- Shallow / deep (needs a bit of explanation for kids because picture confusing)
- Dry / wet (would have done this differently for dry = duck in sun walking on grass)
- Fat pig / thin snake
- Up / down stairs
- Wild / tame (needs a bit of explanation for kids if not used to this idea)
- In / out (needs a bit of explanation for kids because picture confusing...

For grand daughter whose mom said it was great. I saw only the few pages you can view on line, which I think is a must, it looked original to me.

I love Anna Pomaska's illustrations. We also own the 'Numbers' Dover coloring book that she illustrated as well. Much like that one, the pages of this coloring book are filled with whimsical characters in bold easy-to-color shapes. This coloring book has great appeal to young children who've not yet mastered coloring within the lines. Yet, I've found that I enjoy coloring this one as much as the kids. For preschoolers there are simple words throughout (on the level that my phonics-taught four year old can read them) accompanied by illustrations of the opposites theme of the book. They are all so fun and happy, and yet the simplicity of the concepts in this book does not doesn't leave it inaccessible to a slightly older crowd. This is our second purchase of this book; our eldest enjoyed it so much that we bought a copy for our younger daughter as well. Very highly recommended.
Like, all Dover books, this one is printed in the USA.
