Bought this as an additional battery for my Canon Xsi, the extra charger was just a bonus but a bonus that turned out to be even better then expected, not only is it an AC charger but also comes with the vehicle charger adaptor as well as the universal charger adaptor for over-seas.

Holds the charge for ever. Fits the Canon Rebel XSi perfectly (just like the original batter). Excellent option over the pricey Canon one.

I bought this for a new Canon T1i and it works great. The car charger is a nice touch. I can't say that it lasts twice as long as the Canon battery, but it lasts at least as long.

I received the item and it came as described. After charging the battery for 24 hours, I put it in the camera and it did not work. Either the charger or the battery was defective. I returned it to the sender with their pre-paid UPS label and they shipped me a brand new one. Everything worked the second time around. The customer service was great and the product came back in perferct order. I would recommend it for the price.

We bought this for use with our Canon T1i while sailing on our boat. The only aspect I rated less than 5 stars is construction quality, and I gave that 4 stars. It is well built and we've had no problems, but compared to the Canon original equipment, it is a step down. DC charging is a must for us so we don't have to run the inverter just to take more photos. We used the camera and this battery and its charger every day for about 6 months. We noticed no difference between this battery and the original Canon.

We would definitely buy this same battery and charger again.

I needed a spare battery for my canon T1i SLR.
This is kind of cheapest combo with a higher mHA rated battery. Canon stock that came with SLR is a 1080mha , this one is at 1800 mha.
I cannot exactly quantify if there is a difference between the number of shots that I could take on the stock VS this one as I am still learning, so there was lots of fiddling and I lots of times forgot to tun the camera off.
Its 4 months and ~ 1000+ shots [ less than 200 good, still learning ]

The battery is still doing fine.
The Charger is another story. I think i have used the charger about 15 times in total. It just wont charge, the state of battery was as is, dead, after sitting the charger for overnight.
So don't raise your hopes high for the charger.

This battery works great and has a long life in my camera. Even with a fair amount of review on the screen after shooting my pictures my battery lasts for a good amount of shooting time and recharges quickly. I swap between the Canon battery that came with the camera and this one. I don't use the flash very often so this may attribute to the really long life I get out of it.

I bought 2 of these Opteka LP-E5 batteries as back-up to my expensive Canon brand batteries. After using them for over a month now, they work just a good and last just as long as the expensive Canon batteries. I will not be buying any more expensive Canon brand batteries when I can buy 3 Opteka batteries for the price of 1 Canon battery.

Having a new camera for taking pictures of museum artifacts (primarily), I needed spare batteries. Problem was that the OEM battery was ~$70 USD each which would reduce the number of spares I could pack. Also, the OEM charger was AC only, so would not allow for recharging while in transit. Opteka to the rescue! Inexpensive batteries and a dual AC & DC charger fit my needs exactly. I used the batteries for all day shooting of museum aircraft (which means lots of flash usage) and they performed at least as well as the OEM battery. Recharging was quick also, being less than 90 minutes in the car, so I could always have charged batteries on hand. Excellent value and performance overall, highly recommended for the amateur photog, perhaps even for the pro.

I realized importance of having a backup battery when I drove 20 miles to a scenic place to take picture just to realize I left camera battery in the charger (still plugged in to wall)!.
I bought this with little hesitation, but after using it for last 6 months or so, I can say it's totally worth it. The battery looks the same as Canon one, works great with camera, I never use the charger that came with it, (as its not that great) but Canon OEM charger seems to work fine with battery. (so internal chip has same ID as Canon battery). Canon charger shows the charge full as it does with OEM battery.

One thing to point out is I don't think its mAh ratings is accurate as its running low before Canon battery, but for lot less money I can live with it.
