I purchased this adapter because several reviews of the Canon adapter weren't so great. I have found this adapter to be well made and have a very good fit both on the camera and the tele-converter.

I have the Canon tele-converter (TC-DC58D). After attaching this adapter to the lens, you can use the lens' original rear cap on the lens adapter and the entire assembly fits into the bag that came with the TC-DC58D. Very slick.

You should also note that the picture is not accurate. The adapter isn't tapered and it's a two-part adapter (like the Canon). Although I have no idea why it's a two-part adapter.

The adapater works fine, however you must use the proper lenses. Previous generation lenses (S21S, S31S) will screw on to the lens but will interfere with the operation of the G10 camera. This is important if you are considering upgrading from the S2is camera. BTW, the G10 has an awesome wide angle and with the 15.4 MP resolution, don't worry about cropping to pull in the image.

As mentioned above, the picture is misleading. It is a straight, two-piece adapter, made from lightweight aluminum, not plastic like the Canon ones. Also, for this price, it does the same thing as the much more expensive Canon model and is probably a better option. The problem is that instead of making a wider, tapered cone, they made this in two pieces. When you use it with little zoom (up to about 1/3 to 1/2 of the zoom range), you just put your filter or lens on the end of the first attachment. If you want to use more zoom, you need to attach the first and second attachments, allowing the camera to zoom fully through the barrel of this piece without contacting the filter. It works well, but it is just a bit of a pain having to switch on and off between the one or two attachment modes if you frequently go back and forth between full wide angle and highly zoomed pictures, since you'll have to keep unscrewing your lens/filter and moving it from one to the other. I believe Canon's adapter is the same way, so you may as well buy this one. I have no problems at all with any shaking or loose attachment to my G10.

I noticed they don't fit tight and they are loose once you put it on.

I got this adaptor so I could use a polarizer with my g11. I take a lot of landscapes, and the polarizer is a very useful tool to enhance color and bring the blue out in skies. The adaptor works as advertised. A simple tool that does what it should.

well, the adapter isn't long enough to prevent the G10 lens from extending andf making contact, resulting in camera error messages and shutdown.

I dunno if they give the wrong one..but the item i have now is soo different in that picture...and the 2nd order with the same adapter, it did came? upto now I dont have feedback to them? i should not given a star either!

Love the G10 and more so with ability to make images using polarizing filter. Accidentally discovered product acts as an effective lens protector (no filter attached) when shooting in very dense crowds. Wish it had a hard case but combined a plastic cap from a spray product with a cover from an old filter. Does the job. For a low price, the product was of very fine material and construction. Made Capitol trip pix a hit.

I purchased this adapter to use a wide angle converter on a Canon G11. Went with this one over the Canon based on the many great reviews for this one and the marginal reviews for the Canon. Glad I went with this one as it works perfectly and has a very solid feel when attached.

I had no Idea how easy it would be to use this adapter. ONce the Lens is mounted on the adapter you just twist and click to mount it on the camera.
