This is an additional flash receiver for the OP - 4C trigger unit. It works well but it is awkward and cheaply made. When I bought the trigger/receiver unit I should have looked in their catalog a little farther to see what other options there were for triggering a flash remotely.

What I don't like about this unit in particular is that it's set up for you to have to balance a flash on top in a stacked fashion. So what you wind up with on your tripod is about 5 inches of receiver balance on the end of the tripod connection and then precariously balanced on top of that is your $400 or $500 flash.

If I would've looked a little farther I would've found a low profile their low profile unit that would have been much sturdier than this receiver. Frankly I don't even understand why anyone would design such a ridiculous way to mount a flash.

To be blunt, it's just stupid and shows a total lack of forethought or understanding of any kind of photography, (or basic engineering physics). The device does work well from long distances, (the farthest I tried is about 30 feet), and for that I give it three stars. It does not appear to be something that would take any kind of drop to the floor so handle it carefully.

Low quality material but works well. Perfect for a beginner photographer.
Item can be expanded to several receivers if you already have a transmitter.
