Good Lens Hood
The hood works well, with just a small amount of play on the canon lens. No problems with its function, so it is worth buying and saving some money as compared to the pricier Canon hood.

Okay and a bargain.
I'm not happy with the way the hood fits on the lens - it takes a bit of finessing and I'm concerned about snapping off part of the plastic track. Once it's on it seems fine. It is half the price of the Canon hood, though, and it is "just a piece of plastic" as another reviewer stated.

Not bad for the price of $14.95. Much cheaper than Canons.
Twist onto lens is good but once its on it has a loose fit. But for this price Ill live with it.

Same as Canon only much cheaper. Works the same. Dont pay for the Canon label if you dont have to.

This hood works just as good as a Canon hood for a lot less money. I would buy it again. a lens hood is a good investment to get better shots without flair and to protect your lens glass.

I have the exact lens the title specifies, and this lens hood does not fit at all. It's too big, and it falls off. I received it a couple days ago in the mail and have contacted 47th Street Photo about a refund. I will create a new review once all this mess gets sorted out, I was just very disappointed that this lens hood does not work. The quality of the hood was fine in my opinion, but it was just too big.

The lens hood is such an important part of the camera system that it really should be included in the box with the lens; This hood snaps on easily, and has rarely been off of my lens, since it is usually used in bright sunlight. It also helps to protect the front surface of the lens, so even when stored, the hood is permanently installed.
