5.0 out of 5 stars I'm impressed
I was impressed with the quality of the glass and the overall clarity of the magnified images produced by these lenses. At the very highest magnification, of course, it was difficult to get a good focus and nearly impossible to eliminate motion blur without some sort of fixed mount for the camera, but that's to be expected. With a good tripod and a bit of patience,...

1.0 out of 5 stars Poor quality material
I found the optical elements to be "okay" but the rings are awfully cheap-stuff when it comes to attaching it to the lens or one another.
I would rather have spent my money with better quality extenders.

This review is from: Opteka 67mm Close-Up Set (+1, +2, and +4) with 10x Macro Lens for Nikon D90 D80 D70s D70 D50 D40x D40 D700 D300 D200 D100 D2Hs SLR Digital Camera (Electronics)
I was impressed with the quality of the glass and the overall clarity of the magnified images produced by these lenses. At the very highest magnification, of course, it was difficult to get a good focus and nearly impossible to eliminate motion blur without some sort of fixed mount for the camera, but that's to be expected. With a good tripod and a bit of patience, however, these lenses produce some absolutely awesome magnified images -- there's nothing like being able to count the hairs on a butterfly's head. If you're into macro photography or you'd like to try it, these lenses are recommended for everyone from the beginner to the pro.

These are some great close-up lenses for macro shots! They are made of good quality glass and the results are good... I use these with my canon Rebel XTi and they work great. With some practice, some very clear and sharp shots can be acheived at maximum magnification without the use of a tripod, although there is some noise issue. Manual focus is definatly recomended when using these because it gives more control on where and what you want to focus on more, although Auto focus still works fine regardless. Recommended if you want to experiment with macro.

I am using these on my Nikon Digital SLR D40 and they work great. They are cheap and they do the job. What more do you want?
