For less than half the price of Canon Hood, this is a very good buy. I don't normally write review, but I do here so other buyers have more confidence aboutthis product. This Opteka lense hood does what it supposes to do: cover and protect the lenses.
So far I'm happy with this item.

I got this lens hood for my Canon 18-135mm 3.5-5.6f lens.

After reading the reviews I was worried about the construction quality or fit on my lens, but when I got it I was quickly relieved.

The price was the main attraction, and the quality of the item did not suffer for it.

The plastic is sturdy, and my lens has been spared the occasional bump by the hood.

It is also very easy to put on and take off. Its fits perfectly, and isn't too loose or too tight.

Finally, it does its job in preventing lens flare, etc... while shooting. If you need a lens hood, this is a cheap, high quality substitute for a Canon brand hood.

It works. Nothing to complain about except that a piece of plastic costs about $16.

This is the second lens I've gotten for my Canon T2i 550D. The first one screwed in the end of the lens which was not practical when I wanted something to simply snap on and off quickly. This lens does the job. It is a tight but secure fit. The more I use it the easier it is to get on and off. Also you can flip it backward when you are needing to store your camera in a small bag. Overall for the price I'm extremely happy with it. I highly recommend this for anyone looking for lens hood for a 67mm 18-135mm Canon lens. Two thumbs up!

It does what its supposed to for 1/4 the price. I would not even consider the canon. I have not compared this hood to a canon hood, but i would not pay that much for a piece of plastic anyway.

This lens hood is a easy fited to the lens.It is easy to fit in the lens and easy to remove. As a hood it works exelent and keeps away the un wanted light from the camera.
Yes I will recomend this product to a friend.

This does the exact same job as the Canon version for much less. I see no reason to get the Canon version over this one.

works fine. protects the lens and provides a little Shade. Much cheaper than Canon brand. seems to be sodid contruction. No problems..

The good: nice plastic, strong, easy to put on and take off, does the job.

Ideally, I would prefer it without those wave-like cuts, just straight edge: better protection and easier to take the camera out of the bag.

I purchased 2 of these for seperate cameras. Results were as good as with the Canon Hood.
These got lost while moving gear and there was not a single thought of not replaciing them with the same.
