4.0 out of 5 stars Very good product but it is shorter than usual
The product is of decent quality - much better than expected for its very low price. Few things to consider when purchasing this item; however.

It is a light duty strap best suited for smaller and lighter cameras such as Nikon D60 or perhaps D80 with smaller lenses (such as kit lenses). I would hesitate to use it with anything larger. The strap itself is...

1.0 out of 5 stars MISREPRESENTATION
This Camera strap by Opteka is far too short. It doesn't even come close to my old Tamarack strap in length.Unlike my old strap, I cannot put it over head and through arm comfortably. It squeezes below and into my arm pit and I am not a heavy person, wearing size medium shirts. It also doesn't have quick releases so that I could have added on an extender, which itself...

The strap itself is made of a stretchy material so that the weight of the camera + lens that it will comfortably hold is limited. I am using this item with a Rolleicord (60+ year old film camera) and it is perfect for this purpose.

This strap is also shorter than usual. With camera attached to the end of this strap and hanging from my shoulder, the camera hangs about my waist level. If you are taller individual or prefer your camera lower, or if you like to have the strap over your head around the shoulder, this strap is too short.

4 star rating because it's a good item but with limitations as explained above.

It squeezes below and into my arm pit and I am not a heavy person, wearing size medium shirts. It also doesn't have quick releases so that I could have added on an extender, which itself would be a rip off since I thought I was paying for a normal size strap and this would encumber an additional expense. How can I return this strap if I've lost the original packaging ?

Much more comfortable than the strap that came with my Canon SLR, and I like that it doesn't have CANON all over it. I've only used it for a short time, so I can't speak to the durability, but so far I am very happy with this neck strap.

I bought this camera strap for my husband. We were both very pleased with the quality. It is extremely heavy duty and is nicely cushioned to fit comfortably around the neck for those heavy bulky cameras.

I satisfied with this strap. Good quality and serve the purpose. One thing to note, this strap is not for heavy item. It will stretch and might spoil it.

Bought this camera strap for my old canon 35mm film camera. I lost the strap somehow. This Opteka strap works fine. Its a bit on the short end, but it hangs fine. I think people who are complaining of the strap length dont realize it can be mounted almost to the end.

It does not come with any instructions. You need to thread it through the camera strap mount, then back into the 'adjuster' on the underside. It holds well.

The padding on the neck isnt bad. For occasional use its a decent strap. I wouldnt want to put my 5D with the 70-200 on it, even though I am sure it will hold just fine.

Yes I bought three different Binocular straps here on Amazon to see which I liked the best. This was by far my favorite. The strap is very soft on the neck and the cost is low.

The strap is alot SHORTER than what it looks like in the picture but, in terms of comfort it's pretty good to use and feels good around the neck. fair but not that good enough

I replaced the strap that came with the camera with this one. More comfortable and has a little elastic give. Good value.

Initially I got this strap for my Canon 5D which is a medium sized D-SLR that I use with some fairly heavy lenses. I did not consider this strap robust enough for that camera. Fast forward one year... my Opteka strap is still sitting on the shelf. Then Fuji X100 is introduced and I decide to use my Opteka strap for that. I put it on the rangefinder and it fits like a glove. I mean it is VERY comfortable and perfect for cameras that size. Cheap too!
