Not enough support.,

This review is from: Opteka M700 71" Pro Photo / Video Monopod with Foot Stabilizer (Electronics)
This item, upon opening was found to be to light weight for a dslr camera. The pod
would be alright for a p&s. With the dslr weight the quick-connect does not feel strong enough to hold the camera safely. The extension leg is on the small side and does not seem to offer the rigidity needed. As stated, this item would be great for a p&s, just not a dslr.

After receiving this product I thought it was very good for my purpose. I am just an amateur. I liked the way the head was very versatile. The first time I used it, with my Nikon D60 the attachment that connects to the camera for quick disconnect broke. Only one edge so I was able to turn it around and still lock it in. All in all, still a pretty good monopod. I'll have to buy a better head for it later. Possibly I was to rough with it?

I'm not real crazy about this pod. It just has a flimsy feel to it compared to my monico mono-pod. The adjustment arm stick way out.
I got this to use with a DSLR. I may try it with my new camcorder where the arm may be of some use. Right now it's in the closet as a cheap backup.
