Couldn't Live Without It,

This review is from: Opteka XL Remote Release Cord for Canon EOS Digital 60d, Rebel XT, XTi, XSi, XS, T1i, & Canon Powershot G10 Digtial SLR Cameras (10 Foot Cord) ~ (Electronics)
I bought this inexpensive accessory to go with my 500mm lens to eliminate the shake caused by pressing the shutter. It's fantastic for wildlife or long range landscape shots. It's cheap and works perfectly, I couldn't live without it.

I bought this remote when I was looking for a Canon brand, but works just like you are actually pushing the shutter, I think that is a good deal, because y a LOt less money and work great!!!

this works wonderfully with the Cannon Rebel xs, though I have not played around much with the bulb setting. I recommend a longer cord like this one, and it has been quite handy shooting self portraits to use as drawing references, a shorter cord would have made things much more difficult.

The cord works as it should. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 only because I would have wanted the shutter button to be on the larger end of the switch instead of the smaller end, near the cord. No worries otherwise.

Product works flawlessly. Great price on top of that, I can't give any reasons not to buy? I am using this on my Canon EOS XSi with no lag time and 1/4 the price of the Canon product. Love it!

I purchased this after buying a 3x teleconverter and a 70-300mm lens for some astrophotography. It was impossible to take a picture via the on-body controls without the camera shaking wildly and messing up my shots. This remote has fixed that problem, and gives me plenty of range to maneuver with too!
Using with a Canon Rebel XSi.

My wife and I are wedding photographers and have incorporated a photo booth for our clients on their special day. We used a Rebel Xti and had a monitor plugged into for instant image satisfaction for the guests using the booth, but it was slow and there were excessive "trash" photos because they did not know they were in the image correctly. Since then, we purchased the Rebel X2i and use the live view mode with this cabel release we used for the Xti and it works very well. The only thing that I would improve on it is the somewhat sluggish shutter release button. Other than that, the 10' cable is perfect for what we use it for.

I would say this is a good tool to have in your bag of tricks. It works well though the button is a little sensitive, you may be finding your self taking a shot when you didnt want to. the ten foot reach is great just keep an eye out cause it needs TLC when handeled dont be jerking it around or you will find your self buying another one.

Nothing fancy or earth shattering. The item is as it is advertised and is much cheaper than the Canon produced equivalent.

This is one of the best accessories you can have for a Canon EOS Rebel XT. it's a lot cheaper than the Canon product and has a 10' cord, something the Canon product lacks. basically a plug and play device that works great. thanks Opteka for a great product. but this one and forget about the Canon remote.
