I am returning the item and will save for a better model.
You essentially need two things with a stabilizer: a gymbal to allow the system to move, and the ability to balance the system so it won't wiggle and tilt.
This is really hard to make balance, after 3 hours of trying I couldn't get it to fully balance.

Opteka SteadyVid is the worse purchase I've made this year...
It does not work, not a stabillizer, plus its too heavy.
