When I received the underwater mount, I found that the quality control and workmanship were sub-par, compared to the Excellent Optics that Opteka is marketing!

The three holes in watertight fastener were poorly drilled with two misplaced holes on top of each other, where there was only supposed to be one, which caused the plastic base to break. Why didn't they use extruded aluminum for the fastening bar?

The finger attachments for manipulating the zoom and clicking the shutter were very questionable as too their safety and watertight capabilities for protection of the camera within the case! Plus there were three Accordion-like flexion seams where the lens fits that with minor to medium usage in my opinion could have a catastrophic failure leading to the destruction of the camera within by flooding.

I went to Ewa-Marine and found their lower end camera mounts much more reliable and superior in construction, and time tested. I do not recommend this Opteka Case to anybody wanting to take their camera underwater, unless they have a death wish for their equipment!
