Some reviewers have said that only the "S" button works to fire the shutter. Actually all the buttons work on my E-520. All the other buttons work in the playback mode. The + and - buttons advance the frames while the W and T buttons scroll through the other playback views and the +/- buttons also work once the W/T buttons have been pressed. If you play with this you will see what I mean. So all in all this is a fully functional remote for my camera and well worth the money.

What more can I say, it does what it is supposed to do, I can get some self portraits done now.

You only use it for night shots (keep the hand away from the camera body) or those family shots.

For the price, you cannot beat this remote control. It does what it is supposed to do, and it does it fairly well. It is small, light, and can easily be hidden in the hand (you probably won't want to see the RC in any of your shots). I tested it to about 25 feet (its specified limit), and it sent the signal to the camera just fine. Olympus E-520 has a 1 and 2 sec. delay for the remote, and so you don't get an instantaneous shutter release, but the 1 sec. is fine with me, and it is better than the self-timer mode. I believe you will be glad you got this nice little tool.

I bought this so I'd never have to deal with the selftimer (and the confusion it creates) again. On my E-500, it works with a 0sec and 2sec delay (preferred, so you have a little time to compose yourself/the group). It will search for autofocus prior to firing if that is how your camera is set, but I prefer to focus myself to ensure that it's correctly done, and then use the remote with the camera on MF. I've only really tested the range of this thing once, and I got it to work successfully from as far as probably 30 feet- pretty good if you ask me. This thing does what it's supposed to, and with it's small profile I'd say it's a great price for something that you'll be taking everywhere.

Easy to use, and works like a charm. Very good price. I haven't tested how far away I can use it, but so far, so good.

It works except for when in "bulb" mode (I tried using it while 'light painting'). Sometimes it takes more than one try to get it to work as if it has very limited range. But it's cheap and it's handy. I've taken some great self-portraits with the help of this remote.

I was very excited to get this for my Olympus E-510 as I had a remote for my previous Olympus camera and loved it. I arrived very quickly, and works fantastic with the camera. Be careful peeling off the front plastic cover as the button facing comes with it - I worked at it for awhile and was able to remove it without messing up the remote.

Quick shipping.The instructions sucks..Hard to figure out how to work.Can be a nice product if they work on instructions.This company usually have good products.

Remote is great works perfect right from the box. I only gave 4 stars on speed because the remote only works from the front of the camera. I realize this is more in part due to the camera has the infrared reader on the front. This I believe is more of a design flaw with the camera than the fault of the remote. This just makes it difficult when using tripod to take the quick picture once you have things set without reaching around to the front to use the remote. I believe it was designed with the thought that you would be in the picture. Which for most photographers this is NOT the case.
