Not a bad book if you were looking for inspiration as it contains patchwork blocks and graphical representations of what a made up quilt might look like. No explanation of what makes an optical illusion quilt though.

Okay, but not a "keeper",

This review is from: Optical Illusions Quilt Designs (Dover Design Library) (Paperback)
This is a 48 page book with 44 patterns. This book is meant for fairy experienced quilter who is just looking for ideas for additional blocks. Each pattern is shown in a full quilt along with isolated block to show its basic structure. The book does not have any explanations, just images. The blocks include Tumbling Blocks, Farmer's Daughter, Card Trick, Indiana Puzzle, and Corn and Beans.
I used it to make one quilt and then resold on Ebay for a couple of bucks. This is not a "keeper" reference. |
