Format: Hardcover Verified Purchase
If money is important to you, you may want to borrow this book from the library and read it first prior to purchasing. I purchased it hoping to rapidly get information I needed concerning the physical aspects of metamaterials from an applications perspective, particularly in the area of negative index of refraction and light propagation effects and imaging through metamaterial. Unfortunately, it was difficult to get this information with a quick scanning, as I often do with technical books, to focus in rapidly on what I need ( I am not a student, so I need time-efficient means to gain information). It might be a good book if the intention was for the reader to read it cover to cover instead of the way I wanted to use it, in a scanning mode. Other than that, the book's authors are not out to snow people in a flurry of ill-defined formulas and tedious mathematics, kudos for that. Summary: could be good, but may need to read thoroughly to capture value.
