Excellent review,

This review is from: Optical Properties of Crystalline Amorphous Semiconductors:: Materials and Fundamental Principles (Hardcover)
Excellent review of the linear optical properties of semiconductors. Very didactic and practical. The optical properties from the far infrared to the UV region are systematically taught, showing experimental data and theoretical models used to fit the spectra. It is appropriate for beginners, and numerous references are provided for the readers interested in details. I find this book so excellent that I will prepare my own course following it.The only shortcoming I find is the lack of comparison of the experimental spectra with the simulations based on Density Functional Theory and ab-initio methods, so important in our silicon era. |
