I mean where else are you gonna find a gluten/soy/sugar-free protein powder? It's hard enough to find such a product - I didn't buy it expecting it to taste fantastic. But when I blend some peanut butter, and fruit with it - turns out GREAT. The good thing about it being tasteless is that whatever you blend it with will be what you primarily taste. I like this product a lot.

The taste is mild, but if you remember powdered milk, it tastes "dry" even gritty, if you try to stir it in the liquid and drink it right away.

We are making Virgin Smoothie (JJ Virgin diet), and our version is
1 cup almond milk, one scoop powder, one heaping teaspoon cocoa powder. and 1 tbspn vanilla- place in blended and let liquefy. Refrigerate at least 1/2 hour before you want the shake. The cocoa and the protein powder really get better for the rest in the fridge.

Now, back in the blender, add 1 cup each of frozen- blueberries, mixed berries, grapes, and 1 banana. (I freeze it in the skin, then run water on the skin until it can be easily removed with a bread knife. Blend 'til smooth, then dish into a large ice cream dish or goblet. It serves two, is delicious and filling.

If you want added sweetness, try making a simple syrup of the xylitol sugar substitute JJ recommends, and squirting some into the blender at the start- I just took an old ketchup squeeze bottle and filled it half way with xylitol and added enough water to cover it, then microwaved it for 30 seconds and shook it, repeating until it dissolved. (took about 2 minutes) the squeeze bottle makes a nice dispenser. We find the fruit is sweet enough, but sometimes if it is on the tart side, you may need it.

I have bought this 2 times and I like that it has NOTHING added. It is bland but I put it my all vegetable smoothie in the morning and it is fine. I have no problems with the taste because my goal is to have no additives. So I like that part of it. The problem I have is that the price changes and now there is a shipping charge. The 15 serving size is a prime item but the 30 serving size isn't? I just find it odd that the price changes and one size has shipping charges and the other doesn't.

March 5, 2012 update: Just in case anyone is interested. The shipping on this is very slow! I ordered this over a week ago and it has not been mailed yet as I'm writing this. I contacted the seller but I feel this is not the greatest customer service. I'm giving them 2 more days and then I'm cancelling my order and ordering a pea and rice protein from another seller.

I am really pleased with the Optimal Protein Powder. I am not a normal user off protein powders put off by the taste and high caloric intake. I am very pleased with this product, high protein, low cal and easily mixed into other foods or beverage with no bad taste.

Packed with pea and rice protein, fairly bland and almost sweet, this powder blends smoothly into yogurt, shakes, or whatever needs extra nutrition.

I like this unsweetened protein powder. It's a good base for any kind of protein drink, or you can even sprinkle it in oatmeal in the morning for added protein. When making a protein shake, it mixes well in the blender (I use unsweetened almond milk but you can use water), Its subtle taste is not unpleasant unsweetened as long as it's blended thoroughly with liquid that is cold; maybe add some crushed ice before blending. It makes a thick shake. When I want to indulge myself I add fruit (berries or half a banana), a packet of stevia sweetener, and sometimes a drop of pure vanilla extract. If you want extra nutrients, you can toss in a little kale (which you can't taste at all once it's blended). The base powder is low in calories and relatively low in sodium, both good things. I sent a container to a friend whose elderly father has diabetes and needed more protein in his diet. It was perfect for him since it was unsweetened and could be stirred into other dishes. My friend remarked that she tried it herself and really liked it -- she drinks it straight, mixed only with water! Of course, she's thin as a reed and doesn't care that much about food. If you like your protein powder without a lot of added junk in it, I say try this one!

I have been drinking protein shakes as my morning meal for the quite some time now and have tried many different brands and types of proteins. By far, Optimal Protein by Seeking Health is the best protein powder I have tried. It is gentle on the stomach, does not seem to cause bloating. It is pretty much flavlorless, therefore takes on the flavor of the ingredients of the shake. It mixes well when used in a blender and does not seperate if the shake sits for a period of time. I highly recommend this product. It fits a vegan and kosher diet. Thank you Seeking Health for Optimal Protein. I do hope you will make other products that follow the Optimal Protein line.
