About the Author
Jeffrey Sean Lehman received an undergraduate degree in mathematics from Cornell and advanced degrees in law and in public policy from the University of Michigan. He was a law clerk, a lawyer, a professor of law and public policy, and for nine years the dean of the University of Michigan Law School, before he became Cornell's eleventh president. Today he remains a member of the Cornell Law School faculty, while also serving as chancellor and founding dean of the Peking University School of Transnational Law, and as a senior scholar at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars.
