Great book to get an understanding of Network traffic, November 8, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Optimizing Network Traffic: Notes from the Field (Paperback)
If you are interested in how to help design a WAN orientated network this is the book. If you do not have a basic understanding of TCP/IP networking do not get this book. It will show you where to look to see if you do have a problem and how to fix it. The book is well written and easy to understand. Sometimes repetitive. All and all a great book for IT professionals with knowledge of TCP/IP.

An Outstanding Book!, March 4, 2000
This review is from: Optimizing Network Traffic: Notes from the Field (Paperback)
This book clearly defines its purpose: notes from the field. It describes the best way to optimize network performance and disable unnecessary network traffic. This book is not designed to prepare you for the MCSE track but to give you "real life" knowledge of applied networking. A must have for a network Administrator or System Analyst.
