Really, I'm not unrealistic. I know that lower prices normally mean an equal decline in quality. But this was too much. One of the fans hums but doesn't turn (returned this one). Two others had the on/off switch knocked back into the casing--I had to disassemble these and glue them (even before plugging them in!). I am sure you can find somewhere better to spend $10 and cool off.

This fan was awful and didn't work out of the box, as follows:
- The off/hi/lo switch wasn't installed right and kept falling into the housing when you tried to use it
- The lo setting didn't even work
- Upon looking into it, the wiring for the lo setting wasn't even hooked up!

Conclusion: Looks like someone assembled this in their garage. The wiring wasn't soldered and just held together with electrical tape. This fan is great if you just wanna throw away $10! I suppose you get what you pay for.

This is an inexpensive fan that clips on instead of standing on a flat surface. It works and it looks ok and fits on my shower curtain rod where we attach it and run it after showers to keep the mold and mildew down. The only problem I have encounter is the switch became detached an fell inside the fan housing. We were able to retrieve it and re-attach it and it seems to be fine now. Minor flaw for someone that doesn't mind making repaires to equipement but might be major to someone that doesn't have this skill.
