Book Description

Would you buy a stock without knowing anything about the company or looking at a stock chart?

Heck no!

But so many people do that with options trading, blindly trading options without knowing the true risks in options, as well as not knowing how they will really make money.

This book will teach you about the kinds of risks and rewards in options trading, known as the option greeks.

Move above the complex equations and see how stock options can be much simpler when you learn about them visually and through stories.

In 60 minutes, you will have enough practical knowledge to trade stock options with ease.

4.0 out of 5 stars Just what the title says January 21, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This is an easy to understand introduction to option terminology. Great for beginners, before you dig into more technical books such as Options As A Strategic Investment, or for those just looking to review the more difficult concepts that have faded from memory.

5.0 out of 5 stars Just what I needed. January 4, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This was just the book I needed right now. I wanted to get into trading options and got increasingly mystified as to their pricing & risk dynamics. This book answers all my questions and then many I didn't even know I had.

I haven't finished the book yet, and it is about a somewhat dense matter, but I can say it is written clearly and even entertaining. I hope to learn a lot.

In short: Great book for anyone wanting to understand options.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not written for the novice. April 2, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
A friend of mine was learning how to trade options from a friend of his and explained it better to me in 15 minutes than this book could. Fifteen minutes into this book and I felt like I was reading the technical manual for a moon launch.

1.0 out of 5 stars Summary of the summary of the summary...but no point April 12, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
How exactly does reciting the definition of a greek tell you how to use it to trade?
Not.
No examples, no train of thought, no context, no nothing...and I WASTED a "borrow"!

5.0 out of 5 stars Borrowed first but will now buy April 2, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition
Many options books retrace the same content over and over. This book, while not difficult to understand is Not a beginner's guide. I trade options and found this book to very informative regarding first and second level greeks and their effects on each other. I'm gonna buy this one to keep, which is about the best review I can give. If you trade options you should at least borrow it on Kindle

5.0 out of 5 stars Simple and to the point October 28, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
For someone getting deeper into options, spreads, hedging, etc., this book is a must if you don't want to spend ridiculous amounts of time wrapping your head around the greeks. Another plus, because it's short, it acts as nice reference guide that you can go back to. Nice job Mr. Place.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great explanation February 7, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Excellent presentation but if you are new to options you will probably have to read it two or three times. A few more detailed examples of applications would make it even better.

Enjoyed reading the e-book. It gives an innovative look on options by using second derivatives which I haven't seen before. The graphs are illustrative.

A little disappointed.

Didn't meet my initial expectations because it was not plain enough for me.

To be fair, the topic is challenging.

2.0 out of 5 stars Waste of time!
Misleading and poor treatment of a very compex subject. The mathematical logic of the "Greeks" is ignored and the unscholarly discussion can mislead a novice .

Not well developed for the beginner. Lots of unexplained jargon. OK for a Kindle borrow. Learned a few things but I'm a beginner.
