I am a new knitter and was agonizing over the decision of which interchangable set to purchase. I decided on these as they had good reviews, good selection of needles sizes, and moderate price. I am very happy with them. They do not come loose as I use the key to tighten them. They are very slick and it is easy to transfer stitches. I also liked that I have the option to purchase larger cables and a couple of larger sized needles as well. I like that they include end caps and two of each cable for storing work in progress. My only complaint is the zipper for the case broke a couple of days after I bought it. It still opens and closes, but the zipper handle broke off. Not a huge deal, just annoying.

I am very happy that I chose the Knit Picks Options set.

As a fairly new knitter, I started looking at how much I was paying for needles every time I started a new project and decided to pick up this kit. So far, I'm very pleased with the quality of the needles. The points are excellent, and the very flexible cable is wonderful.

However, I was very disappointed to learn that the smallest cable was 24" long, too long for most hats, for instance.

I was extremely disappointed when I called Knit Picks directly. I asked about whether I could buy a shorter cable, and was informed that not only do they not make a shorter cable, but they have no intention of making one. Throughout the call, the woman I spoke to was rude and belligerent. Her tone and word choice made it clear she simply couldn't believe anyone would ask such a stupid question.

Franky, the whole experience turned me off the brand.

It is a good set, but if you intend to make hats or any smaller diameter round projects, you're going to have to buy other needles. This set will not meet every knitting need.

I've been very pleased with this set and just wish I had bought it years ago. The points are comparable to Addi Turbo lace, very smooth and easy work with. Also with Knitpicks you can add different points (wook, plastic) and parts to the set. The quality is good and the price is very reasonable. The cables are flexible enough for magic loop. Over the years, I've spent so much on needles that I think it's great to start out with these.

After having two cables pull out from the metal part that holds them, in both cases losing a pile of stitches and having to painstakingly pick them up, I had to discard them both. Now a third cable is showing signs of coming loose. This is NOT the needle coming unscrewed — that can be fixed with the little pin included in the set. This is something that can't be fixed. I tried, believe me. So now I'm starting to buy individual circular needles again, since I don't have a lot of confidence in the lifespan of these interchangeables. For the record, I'm not a tight knitter, quite the opposite in fact, so I don't feel it's my technique that's causing the problems.

And I'm NOT buying my new needles from Knit Picks. This is in large part because I am very disappointed that I have tried to post this review on the Knit Picks site twice and neither time has it shown up. This really damages the credibility of their reviews. For all the raves we read, how many negative or neutral ones were not published?

recently I got in contact with Knit Picks in order to try & resolve a defect that were in all their needles and cords not staying fastened.

Imagine my happiness when they told me they would give me a store credit for the amount of one of the sets of needles and mail me money for another and the 3rd set they refused to take back.

Jasmine (customer service) had told me that I had a credit there that my cc information would not be used because the manager would see my note about it. Sadly that's not what happened. They took the money out of my bank leaving me in arrears and having to sell my spinning wheel to try & cover the loss.

Customer service didn't care, the owner didn't care either. They didn't even fix the over drawing, they sent $25 as a good will gesture.....what the heck? I want this issue resolved.

I sent them a hand written letter telling in detail as to what happened & never heard back from them. I have tried messaging with them and nothing. This is a buyer be ware.

I don't want to fill this up with my complaints all I can say is they will never have any of my business and karma is a witch. They don't care about the person who had these things to happen to them. I have never talked with a customer service that is as rude as they are. I am very disappointed in the needles and even more so with their customer service. The needles that I had lasted a short period of time to the point that I thought I needed another set, so I went & did that & then in like 6 months or so they all started falling apart (before then it was a swap that tried to fix it for them, and even those didn't work. They had misplaced holes in the needles to the point I couldn't even use that pair of needles.

I am happy with my purchase. Needles and case were as described. One bonus for me was the wires are purple - my favorite color! Started knitting that night with them.

I have both the wood and acrylic sets plus one stable circular in the nickle, the nickle ones are excellent. I am going to purchase that set also. As for Knitpicks they are the rudest b------ I have ever spoken to..............x-cept maybe Comcast!!! My hubby orders from them a lot d/to frequent (maybe too frequent) wishlists & he always has trouble. Would like to stop purchasing from them but they do have nice stuff................................

The cables are the best. They are soft & pliable so you aren't fighting with them as you work. It is easy to change needles & the needles stay screwed on tight compared to others I've used. The only improvement they could make it is to mark the size on them.

My Knit Picks interchangeable knitting needles arrived in good time and in good packaging. I only started knitting about 9 months ago and have (already) tried very inexpensive bamboo circular needles (flexible cable but not very sturdy), a competitors interchangeable needles (not very flexible and not many cable lengths). I wasn't very happy with the way this set knitted using the magic loop method. I recently purchased the wooden Knit Picks (fixed) circular needles and loved the flexibility. So, I read up on what people thought of the interchangeable needles and was sold. I added a 40" cable and was happy to find I received 2 cables, not just the one I expected! You can bet I changed out the needles to my new Knit Picks and oh, my, what a difference. Thanks to Knit Picks for selling such a wonderful product!

So easy to use, to change, cord is not at all stiff so doesn't circle on itself. I use them for all my knitting.
