Leaves a lot to be desired-ORDER A BATTERY WITH YOUR REMOTE,

This review is from: Optoma BR-PK3AN Remote Control for the PK201 and PK301 (Personal Computers)
If you bought the Pico PK-201 or PK-301 and want a remote, you don't have a choice. This is your only option that I know of.
I bought this because I really needed a remote to work this in my bedroom. I am using this remote on the Pk-301 model. Although I am happy they finally made a remote for it, I am not happy for the following reasons. A)The remote should have been included with the projector. B)The remote needs an on button. There is an off button, but no on. WTF? I still have to manually turn it on and the power button on the projector is too small. My finger is barely small enough to hit the button. C)The remote does not come with a battery, which is not a typical remote battery. It's a CR2025. So when you get it, you may want to go to the store or order a battery with it. Of course, that's more money. So, in closing, I'm happy there is finally a remote but they went about it all wrong.

Good Accessory,

Optoma's remote control for the PK201/PK301 micro projectors does the job. However, the inability to turn on the power to the micro projector from the remote is a major flaw. The latter flaw is likely a result of the need to conserve power. Most of the necessary functions are included on the remote control and the layout is quite nice, i.e. the thumb rests almost exactly over the <enter> button. With a little practice, a user should have little problem using this remote control in the dark. Lastly, Optoma wisely did NOT include this remote control with it's portable micro projectors because micro projectors are designed to be used with the hands and inclusion of this remote control would have unnecessarily raised the cost. This remote control is a luxury item to be used primarily in a fixed setting. Granted, Optoma probably should have included a CR2025 battery with the purchase of this remote, though.

Good but not entirely needed for me,

I bought this for my optoma pk301 pico projector but realized afterwards that if you have a Logitech harmony series remote that the codes it uses will work fine for this projector so it wasn't entirely needed. I'm sure I will use it though on trips when I don't want to take the Logitech with me.
