Great deal!,

This review is from: Opus Expeditions Copper Lilypad Birdbath (Lawn & Patio)
Beautiful product for the money. I was impressed with the quality of this piece...it is ALL COPPER CONSTRUCTION, (I'm not sure what that other reviewer was referring to when he mentioned "rubber dragonflies!") This makes a very elegant addition to the garden and is VERY stable. The stake is sturdy and easy to push into even the hardest soil. Assembly was a breeze. I would buy from Opus again.

Product is easily damaged in shipping,

The rubber dragonflies are easily broken. They probably were intact when packaged, prior to export to the USA, but somewhere along the way they get damaged. They would be better off not to install the dragonflies onto the birdbath at the factory, and just package them seperately, for the customer to assemble.

This is not your typical looking birdbath. I love the way it blends so much better with my garden plantings than a heavy cast cement bath does. The plastic dragonflies were very easy to remove...and in my opinion were not a good addition to the piece. I had no problems with the paint texture or in staking it in my garden (there is a rather long and sturdy stake attached that keeps it well rooted in the ground). I was hoping that it would patina after a while, but it appears that it may take some time since it looks like there's a protective coating on it, sort of like a powder coating. But overall, it's really pretty and not too obtrusive or overbearing. It looks like it just sprouted in my garden!
