Good for some folks, but not all,

There is a lot of good detail in this book, but as a first introduction to relational database systems, many of the explanations are too brief for first timers. For me, it was good because I used MSSQLServer2000 quite a bit, so as a refresher / Oracle introduction the explanations were great.Also, if you dislike typos and phrasing / grammar that is clearly from a non-native English speaker, you should pass on this book. I found them distracting, but not enough to prevent me from getting the information needed. |
