This Australian deck follows in the tradition of Doreen Virtue s many Oracles (the Magical Unicorn Oracle, Goddess Guidance Oracle, Magical Mermaids and Dolphins Oracle, Magical Messages from the Fairies Oracle...etc), in that the Dragonfae Oracle s artwork is the result of several artists, in the case of this deck, seven. For a deck celebrating the Goddess in her form as the Dragon, it seems appropriate that all the artists are women.
23 of the 43 cards in the deck are by Michele-lee Phelan and some of these are extraordinary. Dragon-imagery appears in all of her cards, sometimes partially (for example, the scales which appear around some of the characters eyes).
Grandmother Magicks wears a fantastic dress, made of 4 layers of large, veined and fiery red/orange leaves. (Spirit-world wanderers will recognise this imagery.)
Chumara is another fantastical image. Aside from the form of the Dragon, the Goddess s other popular manifestation appears as the Spider, who waits in her web on Chumara s third eye. Surrounding her are the colours of the rainbow, from red to purple, merging with each other as they progress. Fantastic!
Without wishing to hurt anyone s feelings, I have to say that Michele-lee Phelan s work is the best in the deck. It is curious that more than half of the 43 cards have been painted by her. I wonder why she wasn t commissioned to finish the job. It very much feels as though the deck is in two halves Michele-lee s 23 paintings, and the remaining 6 artists who share the remaining 20 cards. Two of these artists have painted only 1 card each within this deck.
In general, I really like this deck. Sure, I wish that Michele-lee had painted the whole thing, but never mind there is much to enjoy here. Recommended! --by Space Goat for Aeclectic Tarot

About the Author

Lucy Cavendish works magic every single day of her life, embracing it as a creed for personal fulfillment and happiness, and as a belief system that sees us as part of nature, and thus gives us all the motivation to respect and revere and delight in our unique experience here on Planet Earth.
Lucy is also the author of 'The Oracle Tarot', 'Magical Spell Cards' and 'White Magic', all of which are published by Hay House.
Apart from regular television and radio appearances, she is a feature writer for 'Spellcraft Magazine', 'Spheres', and has appeared in anthologies like 'Disinformation's Pop Goes The Witch!' In 1992, Lucy created Witchcraft magazine, which she edited for five years.
She is a classic book witch and adores writing, reading and creating enchanted workshop experiences. Lucy Cavendish currently lives in Sydney with her pixie-like daughter and her beautiful labradoodle dog.

This is an absolutely gorgeous set of oracle cards visually. As with all Blue Angel Gallery products, I adore their bigger included book size, and the quality of their cards. Each of the artists used in this tarot deck are so gifted - I loved loved LOVED each of their representations, and the different energies it brings to this deck.

Aside from the beautiful visual aspects though, I need to say that this is one of the most powerful, accurate oracle cards I've been blessed to experience. Every reading I have done with it has been amazingly accurate, and the wisdom in these cards is powerful and deep.

I also need to say that from the covering box, I at first didn't pick up these cards because it has such a dark cover. I'm so glad I did though - inside it is shining with light, and the friendship of the Dragonfaes.

My highest ho! to Lucy for creating these oracle deck of miracles... you are such a blessing!

I bought this deck specifically because I am a huge fan of Michele-lee Phelan's art. Over time, I have also become a big fan of Lucy Cavendish's writings - her cd is also top knotch. I would recommend it to anyone who appreciates fantasy or goddess art. The works are not fluffy. Buy it, and you won't be disappointed!

This is a magical deck, inspirational, and highly recommended
for all whom dare to enter its realm. The Dragonfae are powerful
