Book Description

May 28, 2003
It's a divination deck, a way to experience 25 aspects of the goddess, and an aid to meditation! Packed into this exquisitely decorated flip-top box are 25 large and beautiful full-color cards, each dedicated to a different female divinity, and a wonderfully informative guidebook. Anna Franklin, the well-known pagan author of The Wellspring and Illustrated Encyclopedia of Fairies, explains the imagery and symbols for every card; describes the function and lore of each goddess; and gives instructions on how to use the card in both the upright and reversed positions. The goddesses come from a variety of traditions and places, including Artemis, the wild and free Greek huntress, and the Egyptian Matt, who stands for justice, truth and balance. Look carefully at the cards and see how each one touches you at the deepest level: they're designed as visual triggers and feature key symbols to help you feel the sacred feminine within yourself.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best set of Oracle cards I have ever used!, July 16, 2003

This review is from: Oracle of the Goddess Book and Card Pack (Paperback)
When I fist got my Goddess cards I was intriged by the art. I ordered them on line and didn't get a good look at them. I was amazed at how life like the cards look. Some of the clothing is a bitt goofy looking, like the goddess' Elen's dress of ferns. I was even more surprized when I did my first reading. I used one of the lay out provided in the book. It was teh one called Brighid's Arrows. It was right on the money. I don't even get reading that good with my Tarot cards. I would recomend this for any one who wants to get the kind of advice only a mother could give from and oracle.
