1.0 out of 5 stars An absolute waste of money, January 24, 2000

There is nothing here that you can't find in the Oracle for NT installation instructions.

2.0 out of 5 stars Really light, covers 8.0 only, heavy on screen prints, September 22, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Oracle8 on Windows NT (Paperback)
Ok for an overview of version 8.0.3, but light on details. It has a lot of screen shots. Now with 8.1.5 (8i) out for NT, this book is not really a player in comparison with other more advanced books on the market (and those covering 8i). It covers the old version of Enterprise Manager (1.3) and is light on NT too. I think they rushed it in order to meet the demand for Oracle8 and NT topics. Its ok, its just not very good. No CD either.

1.0 out of 5 stars Great Title, Worthless Book, August 16, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Oracle8 on Windows NT (Paperback)
If you need to have screens from Enterprise Manager explained to you, or need to figure out how to use wizards, you might find this useful as a beginner book. Had the book been labelled as a beginner book, as it should have, as opposed to the intermediate status that it has, I would not have purchased it.

I bought it, and I'm not happy about it, nor about having to write this terrible review of it.

Why isn't there a 0 star rating available?
